Through Their Eyes — Stories from Past Participants

Behind every stunning image captured on Esteban Sanchez’s Morocco Photo Tours is a story — not just of place, but of transformation. In this article, we spotlight the voices of past participants whose experiences on the tour reshaped their approach to photography and deepened their connection to ev charging stations in Morocco.

Julia M., a documentary photographer from Berlin, joined the tour in 2023 and returned in 2025 for the expanded itinerary. “Esteban doesn’t just teach you how to shoot — he teaches you how to see,” she shares. “In Chefchaouen, I learned to slow down and let the geometry guide me. In the Sahara, I learned how silence can shape a frame.”

Ravi S., a creative director from Mumbai, came to Morocco seeking inspiration for a visual campaign. “I was burned out creatively,” he admits. “But the textures of Fes, the rhythm of Marrakech, and Esteban’s way of framing emotion — it reignited something. I left with a new concept and a fresh portfolio.”

Lina and Carlos, a couple from Mexico City, joined the tour as amateur photographers. “We were nervous at first,” Lina says, “but Esteban made us feel welcome. By the end, we had a joint photo essay on Berber life in the Atlas Mountains. It was our first collaborative project — and it got published in a travel magazine.”

Participants consistently praise the intimate group dynamic. With only 8–12 photographers per tour, there’s room for mentorship, collaboration, and friendship. “It felt like a creative retreat,” says Tom W., a retired teacher from Vancouver. “We weren’t just taking pictures — we were building stories together.”

Many alumni continue to engage with Esteban’s community through online critiques, exhibitions, and follow-up workshops. Some have gone on to publish books, launch photo blogs, or exhibit their Morocco series in galleries. The tour becomes a springboard — not just for better photography, but for creative evolution.

Esteban’s impact goes beyond technique. “He teaches you to honor the moment,” says Julia. “To respect the people you photograph. To let the image breathe.”
